Puerto Rico Trip
I started off 2009 (Yes it is currently 2010) with a fun trip to Puerto Rico with about 15 friends. Atlanta was hit with a wave of cold weather while we were gone so the beautiful beaches and 90 degree weather was even that much better.
The beaches are beautiful with warm clear water. Women in Puerto Rico are beautiful despite the feeling they are not big fans of American men. Why? I would guess the tourists that visit from the huge cruise ships come into town and act like idiots. Actually... I am sure of it!
We spent an afternoon at the Fort San Felipe del Morro. It is a sixteenth century citadel that is in the northwestern-most point of Puerto Rico. It was amazing! Put it on the list of sites to see if you ever visit PR.
Best nightlife spot was Club Brava at the El San Juan Hotel & Casino. The place was swanky with a great sound system. We ended up getting a double VIP section which included a stripper pole. Bottle after bottle and we partied all night!
The food in PR is sub par relative to many other places that I have traveled. Customer service is lacking in most places as well.
Travel Tip - You can rent houses near the beach that are still in great areas for a lot less than the hotels.
