Wakemate... I need you!

I woke up this morning around 5 am and I FEEL GREAT. Now as an entrepreneur I do have the flexibility to wake up just about anytime I would like on any given day. It is usually closer to the 8 o'clock hour so a blog post at this time of morning will be rare. So how am I awake and feeling good at this hour? I have no idea! It could be because I woke up during the perfect moment in my sleeping state. According to the makers of Wakemate (http://www.wakemate.com) your body feels better when waking up at certain periods of your sleep. Wakemate has come up with a device that monitors your sleep via a Bluetooth wristband that syncs with your cell phone. When you are at the optimal wake up time your cell phone's alarm will go off and wake you up. This sounds great to me as my motivation level is horrible when I wake up groggy. You can pre-order the device with a $5 down payment and a total payment of about $50. They were just part of a small group of investors that pitched to the new Open Angel Forum (http://openangelforum.com/) which was created by Uncle Jason C as a way for entrepreneurs to seek funding.

Check out their interview on TWIST. BTW... If you are in business and not watching This Week in Startups... well... start watching..!

This Week in Startups

I don't sit in rush hour traffic... Working from home and scheduling meetings around rush hour has been a way to save a lot of time and frustration. But I do know so many people that waste 30 min to 1 hour on their commute (1 way!!!) to work. This gives you enough time to learn another language via learning CD's or continue your education with books on tape and podcasts. What do i recommend?

If you have any interest in business and/or entrepreneurship I would highly recommend listening to the This Week in Startups podcast (TWIST). This is one of the most professionally produced, educational and inspiring podcasts on the internet. I found out about the podcast around episode #25 and quickly caught up with the previous 50 hours of brilliant broadcast. Download every episode and listen once or maybe even twice! I tell people it is better than most classes you can take in college. More information about the podcast can be found @ http://www.ThisWeekInStartups.com.
